Programs: Inspiring a life-long love of learning in metro st. Louis area children in public, private, independent and charter schools, camps and community organizations, during the traditional school day, before school, after school and during summer sessions to the underprivileged and those who benefit from innovative education, springboard to learning provided programs in the arts, sciences and humanities to 24,149 children at 47 schools and 32 community venues in the form of 1,804 sessions, 149 performances, 50 workshops, and 243 residencies.
year-round, springboard to learning provides programming to st. Louis metro area children in public and private schools, committing to a three-year partnership. Considered arts partners, schools receive individualized planning meetings, programming tailored to specific curriculum needs and teacher professional development. Students are exposed to high levels of innovative programming, building the 21st century skills of creativity, communication, critical thinking and collaboration. Springboard to learning had 35 partnering schools, serving 22,807 children in the form of 1,017 sessions, 64 performances, 109 workshops, and 74 residencies.
since 1964, springboard to learning serves underprivileged, inner-city, st. Louis public school children, with limited access to innovative, artistic and culturally based educational curriculum, providing year-long residencies in social studies, science, math, english, character education and health, using the medium of dance, storytelling, theater, music, poetry and art. Springboard partnered with 43 schools, serving 5,704 students in the form of 2,544 sessions.
