I lost 11 year old Daisy to cancer 4 years ago. She was a golden retriever that I rescued from Save-A-Dog in Sudbury MA in 2008. She received great care at the cancer center at Foster Hospital for Small Animals at Tufts Veterinary School in Grafton MA. I now have another rescued golden from Egypt that I adopted from Yankee Golden Retriever Rescue in Hudson, MA. I hope there are advances in cancer treatments that will help heal future goldens.

Morris Animal Foundation does a great job of finding the best science to improve the health of animals everywhere. If you are an animal-lover that wants to improve the health care of pets, as well as deal with the many and growing health crises in wildlife, this is the Foundation for you. This is a publicly funded nonprofit doing unbiased research solely to benefit animals.

My beautiful husky, DANCER, had a mass near his heart. Our wonderful vet fought it with us for 4 months before we lost him. My heart is so sad. Dr. Warmuth gave a generous donation to this wonderful organization in his name. This has helped to heal. Thank You for your research to make things better for our fur family.

Thank you for instituting the major study of mast cell tumor cancer in Golden Retrievers! I lost my Golden Retriever Service Dog on July 16, 2012 to Mast Cell tumor after a nearly 9 month batter to save his life along with The Gift of Sunshine, The Land of Pure Gold, the Varis Fund and the great oncologists and all staff at the Harrington Oncology Program at the Tuft's University Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine.

Hopefully this study will save many of the beautiful golden retrievers who give their heart so unconditionally!

This organization is a class act. No constant begging for money through innumerable mailings, no dunning phone calls or "thank you for your donation in advance" stuff like return address labels, notepads, etc. they simply concentrate on research to make animal lives better. I personally have included them in my estate plans. P.S. Betty White, I found out recently, is a supporter as well.

I donate to Morris as memorial gifts when friends lose a pet. Morris quickly sends a sympathy card to the owner indicating a donation was made in the pet's memory, and sends me a donation conformation for tax purposes.
