Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Arts & Culture, Arts Education, Film & Video, Media & Communications
Mission: Miami Web Fest is a non-profit (501c3). Our inaugural event took place in 2014. Since then, we have been continuously dedicated to supporting the Arts by showcasing the work of digital filmmakers and fostering opportunity through education and networking opportunities at the festival. The mission of Miami Web Fest is to support the Miami Arts Community by exposing the latest forms of digital storytelling to the world, providing exposure to emerging filmmakers, while also exposing the next generation to the evolving art form of digital episodic filmmaking.
Results: Several filmmakers from the festival have secured deals with major networks and film distributors. In addition, high-school and middle school aged students have attended the festival, sparking their own creative genius.
