Iris Global

Not safe to donate money to this organization or volunteer with them by going to Harvest school or on mission trips. Parents, do not let your children go on international trips with this organization. It is unsafe. They do not properly care for volunteers and have no regard for their safety.

Not a reputable charity at all. Iris is affiliated with Bethel in Redding, CA, and both are harmful and spiritually abusive organizations that do a lot of detrimental harm to the reputation of Christ and Christianity globally. Rolland came out of the Jesus Movement, which seems to be unable to be separated from sexual abuse scandals. The most heartbreaking thing about these 2 organizations (Bethel and Iris) is that when confronted about their wrongdoing, they are unmoved to reform for the sake of the people they were meant to serve. It is truly heartbreaking as the need is so great to provide safe, righteous, and compassionate Christian care in the areas where they work. They have no trouble vilifying and abusing their recipients and justifying it when confronted about organizational issues or wrongdoing. I hope that those burned and abused by this organization will truly get to know Christ as separate from the abuse they have endured at the hands of Bethel and Iris.

I've had a great experience with Iris Global. The staff is dedicated and the programs they offer truly make a difference. I appreciate their commitment to serve the poor while focusing on Christian ministry. Highly recommend supporting them!

It’s an amazing non profit , they really move after God’s heart for the poor and needy

What they preach and what we see online is just a tiny tip of the iceberg of the dedication, hard work and commitment constantly going on behind the scenes. They also help and give alms to remote locations that are often overlooked and sometimes even forgotten about because they actually see the value of each human being no matter what tongue, tribe, people or nation they are from. Giving to Iris Global isn’t just donating, it’s investing into an organisation that practices excellent stewardship.

Iris Global is full of incredible missionaries. They are selfless, brave and full of the love of God. I often get to speak with many of the leaders and missionaries and it is always so encouraging. They sometimes have very little resources, but it does not discourage or stop them. They are making differences in the lives of so many.
There is a massive emphasis on raising up locals and empowering them.
I personally love blessing the local missionaries and ones from poor nations as they often live of so little, but still they are so faithful and faith-filled.

I love & honour the work Iris Global does because I’ve consistently seen them go low to firstly seek Jesus, & then to serve others from that same position. That means going low to where the poorest are, and serving and loving them there in more ways than just financial provision. We have followed Iris Global from a distance for over twenty years and have always been impressed with their mission to radically love the poor and needy around the world. At the head of this organisation are Heidi and Rolland Baker. I have met Heidi in real life, and who she is in secret, is who she is when presenting to the public. I believe she is in her 60's now and Rolland in his 70's, and they still chooses to reside in Mozambique to help the poor and demonstrate the love of Jesus. These things being said, I know that they are honest and genuine about their mission to the poor, and I have no doubt that the children I sponsor are receiving everything that I send to them. This, I'm afraid, can't be said for every charity one can choose to support in this day and age.

My family and I have worked with, learned from, and experienced firsthand the immense impact the Iris Global team. From administration to heartfelt concern and dedication to the training and betterment of all those they come in contact with, the Iris Global team is the standard by which I measure the work done by faith-based non-profits. Wherever they are, the diverse and international team of Iris Global staff and volunteers effectively strive to foster the growth of those they come in contact with; meeting their physical, mental, and most of all spiritual needs. I have nothing but respect and appreciation for all Iris Global does. Without them, I wouldn't be the person I am today.

Lack of accountability, child abuse scandals, and poor treatment and firing of missionaries when they try to do the right thing and report abuse… this is the unknown undercurrent of Iris Global. I would not recommend this ministry to anyone. Do better Iris.

Iris Global is an incredible non-profit. They serve the poor and broken in many places. They even go where many are too scared to go. They will venture to the most remote places to help those there. Especially after natural disasters.

I had the opportunity to serve with them for 2 months in Southern Africa. They do so much to help all that they can and meet their needs and even exceed those needs.

We signed up for their online missionary course. We are early fifties and based in New Zealand. The Lord spoke to us about the missionary field being right outside our front door, in our businesses etc. We decided to do the missionary course so we can learn from missionaries about spreading the gospel. We acknowledge that we do nothing in our strength and all is done by the Lord through us. And we believe that He uses testimonies of others to help us in our walk with him. It’s been amazing and a real blessing to be able to attend the course and learn so much- both in the great work they do for the Lord but also in our walk with the Lord..

I recently completed the Iris Missions On-line Training Course. The on-line zoom classes 3 times a week were very inspiring. I have been a believer for over 40 years, spending time in Charismatic / Pentecostal circles. I have to say that this has been the most inspiring course I have ever taken. This course is allowing to take my next step towards missions, even in this stage of my life! Thank God!

I was able to volunteer with Iris Global in South Africa and Mozambique and it was an amazing experience. Their love for feeding, teaching, clothing, and changing the lives of the poor to help them be self sustainable was life changing to be a part of. I've never seen anything like what they do.

Learning through Harvest School with Iris Global was one of the most rewarding and treasured times in my walk with the Lord. I love their approach that love looks like something so when we went on outreach in the villages they brought practical gifts for the village to bless them. They also build wells in many villages that don't have access to clean water.

So invested in the people they work for, and those that come to volunteer or train with them. I have always felt welcomed, loved and seen by every one of their staff and leaders.

My wife and I attended Iris Global’s Harvest School in 2014 and have been part of Iris ever since. What drew us to Iris Global was their holistic approach to charity and ministry. Preaching the Gospel, feeding the hungry, we’ll drilling, rescuing slaves, disaster relief, food distributions, and much more. They were probably the most affective aid organization during the aftermath of Hurricanes Idai and Kenneth which hit Mozambique a month apart. And they are currently helping feed tens of thousands of internally displaced people in the war zone of northern Mozambique. And they continue to do much all around the world.

Iris Global invests into people by joining people on their level. They literally invest their lives into their neighbours on the streets, the market place or wherever they meet the broken, poor or lost. They do not care about how society views their counterpart and are not afraid to go to the least. Iris Global not only helps people get physically better but takes a holistic approach which sees many people transformed and restored to become integral memebers of their society again.

My name is Father Andry, I am a young priest from Madagascar and l'm 34 years old. I was ordained priest on 29 December 2019. Now we have opening a new mission in the north of Madagascar and we opened an university ASJA (ATHENEE SAINT JOSEPH ANTSOHIHY) to help the poor young people to continue their academic formation and to help them to get out of the poverty. For this we have many projects to do both for infrastructures and for school fees. First for the infrastructures we want to build two dormitories (two houses for students), one for boys and one for girls. Second, Among our 280 students we have now, 210 of them fail to pay their tuition during the year. And for this we want to ask help from your association to carry out our mission for the poor and with the poor.

My time in the mission's school with Iris Global (South Africa, Mozambique and Jordan) helped shape my understanding of God's movement in different parts of the world. It helped me gain perspective of the poverty many other countries live in, and God's deep concern for the poor. My time at the mission's school also helped me learn about honoring people of other cultures. My time with Iris Global has positively impacted my understanding of the character of God (specifically His care for the poor, and the way he is moving in other countries). My experience volunteering with Iris Global has been nothing but a positive one. The people within Iris have amazing hearts to serve the poor, the downtrodden and the least of those. Iris is such an unique groups of laid down lovers of Jesus. It’s family who understand the great commission. Each opportunity is hand tailored by the Lord himself and I truly believe He picks the groups who come. Everything is led by the Spirit with the heart posture of truth and love. Working as one body one heart mine faith baptism all ages backgrounds ethnicity and at different parts of your walk. Coming with the right heart posture allows yourself to truly jump right in and watch God truly work through a body individually for the one infront of you and as the body of Christ all at the same time. I am always amazed at the operation of Iris Global!!! Spent 2 weeks in Mozambique and seeing happy, healthy kids going to school who once lived on the streets. Parents couldn’t afford them and sold girls as prostitutes as children.

People all over the world send money to help because we know it goes to those desperately in need.

Currently with the atrocities of ISSI in northern Mozambique they have stayed in country to help families that had to abandon their homes due to fighting. Minister, even hug ( inspite of COVID 19), those that have lost so much and saw so much brutality.

Iris Global brings the heart of a loving God to the poor and needy by showing them love and respect. The people at Iris make humility and self sacrifice for others a priority. They make a powerful difference in do many lives where there was previously no hope.

I know the Iris Global through Heidi Baker. She is an amazing woman who serving so many poor and needy with radical love, grace and time... Then I took an online course offered by them this month. This course is so eye-opening and I get to know more about how their staff and students sacrified themselves to help those in needs. Real cool! Amazing people and organisation!

Iris Global is an amazing organization that truly seeks to meet people’s needs, both physical and spiritual. I have had the honor to travel to one of their bases seven different times. I have seen first hand how they work to not only bring the gospel to that nation but to also feed, educate and build communities to bring them out of poverty. I have also been honored to support a child through their Stop for the One ministry.

I wasn't sure what to expect but I was hungry to know God more deeply so I signed up for the course. I was not disappointed. Through the most genuine testimonies and teaching from the heart of the speakers I found what I was needing, confirmation of what the Lord had been speaking to me and fellowship with brothers and sisters from around the world. I was at home with my family in the Lord. Wonderful! Thanks everyone for humbling yourselves and just being real. I love you all.

I have been attending the Supernatural Missions Training course since June 8, 2020 every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. We still have 2 extra sessions which were added to the original course time frame. I can't say enough about the training over these past weeks. The wisdom of these leaders that love our Lord will all of their heart, soul, mind, and strength is just priceless. Each gave a little piece of themselves to the over 400 students from around the world. I am walking away with a delicious piece of each teacher. Our moderator, Will Hart, is totally on fire for our Lord and only desires that us, the students, are touched by our Lord thru the teachings of each of these leaders that our Lord has raised up. We spent a glorious amount of time in worship prior to each lesson and that in itself was blessed beyond words by our Lord.

I had no agenda as I wanted To be filled afresh by beholding His presence. It's not hard to experience God when you seek Him with your heart. This is what happened for me
I had visions,became abandoned in worship and found freedom in dance.
I met family that also love Jesus presence from all over the world and now we are connected for life.
It's all about Jesus and the Love with Iris. I gave my bra to a mama in church yep it's as you picture it , off it came through my armsleeve and she was delighted. To see others with Gods eyes is what I gained.I love the children in the villages where we played simple games and painted mama's fingernails. It's a priceless experience.

Incredible ministry who give everything to love those that others have forgotten. They do this in every way they can through personal demonstrations of love and through providing in every area of life from caring for those who have lost their natural parents, education, healthcare, providing clean water and food to building homes and providing jobs for widows!

I attended Harvest School 18 5 years ago now! Truly THE most life changing experience of my life. I could tell my story and how crazy beautiful my time was there from the leadership, fellow students, and the beautiful Mozambican people. However, the beauty is all found because of the presence of God. Iris Global truly lives out what they say they do and more. Each leader has laid down their lives to serve and love day in and day out!

They are completely selfless and full of love for the people they are serving, teaching, and leading. From feeding thousands of children a day to equipping thousands of pastors and people all of the world with the tools they need to grow, Iris Global is true to their mission and true to the heart of Jesus through and through!!!

I had the great privilege to visit and volunteer for three months with Iris Global at their base in Mozambique. It is amazing how much of an impact Iris has had on its surrounding community. Not only do they provide food and free medical care, but they provide a place for people to feel safe and know what it’s like to be truly loved. I am very impressed with this organization and they have my full trust.

I have the great privilege of taking young adults to Iris for spring break trips. The students work along side with the staff to serve and to learn. This is an amazing experience, not only do students get to assist in the great work of Iris, feeding children, working on the farm or assisting in the hospital, but the lives of the students are changed. These trips are a defining moment in their lives. Iris is an amazing organization that not only effects the lives of of the poor but it effects the world through the students, with the simple message of love.

I attended an Iris base in Pemba Mozambique for 3 months. They showed me what it is to be the hands and feet of Jesus as well as displaying the simplicity of the gospel. They know how to love well, and this is from the abundant overflow of what God is doing. Iam currently volunteering as a long-term missionary in Johannesburg South Africa, it is such an honour and privilege to be working with Iris
ministries. They are absolutely incredible and do live out the bible.

I had the privilege of spending time watching Iris Global first hand in Pemba, Mozambique. I am continually blown away and impressed by their commitment to wholistic transformation. They are paving the way in that nation for quality education and so much more. Not only do they meet so many people's material needs, they leave them with a hope that lasts.

I was with Iris Global in Mozambique the summer of 2013, and the majority of the people who make up this organization are among the most - if not the most - passionate, loving, happy, giving, self-sacrificing folks I've ever known in my life. Their joy is contagious, their willingness to suffer for the sake of the poor and broken convicting and moving, and their zeal for Jesus surprising. If there were anything not glowing I would write (which is hard to do, but I want to be forthright), the leadership structure is very top-down with the Bakers being the decision-makers. Like all top-down structures, decisions are made quickly and so good things happen fast, but also disorganized or less than perfect decisions can be made quickly, too. I learned patience and submissiveness. I have one theological disagreement with the organization regarding its interpretation of women's roles in the Church in 1 Timothy (Heidi Baker is more or less the leader of the organization and at times even seemed she ran the church in Pemba), and one regarding speaking in tongues in 1 Corinthians (they believe it can and should be done all at once in a service, and provided us with very little caution about abuse of the gifts while there) but I can honestly say that besides those two things, I am in total agreement with everything else they stand for. I'm actually astounded by how I agree with them on almost everything else. You will be hard pressed to find a more genuine, loving group in the entire world and certainly over the course of your life.

They are the hands and feet of Jesus on this earth! Love looks like stopping for the one... So good. So simple. They know how to love Jesus. In turn, they know how to love people. They offer practical help and spiritual help. God Bless Iris!!

We have been collaborating with Iris in Mozambique and France, it's the most love driven organization we've ever collaborated with in our lives!!!

I've been a part of Iris Global for a little over two years now and I'm blown away by the practical love of Jesus that the people of Iris carry for the children, the lost, widowed, homeless, etc. The message is simple: love Jesus. Through stopping for the one, the gospel of Jesus is preached and lives are transformed for all of eternity. What an honor it is to be a part of this group of people and see Jesus get glorified among the nations.

Iris is less of an organization and more of a tribe of people who have dedicated themselves to laying down their lives selflessly for those in greatest need around the planet. It would be impossible to track how many lives have been transformed by this non-profit and the accomplishments can only be described as miraculous; because such results - from feeding vast numbers of people, building top-performing schools, starting clinics, rescuing people from slavery, taking in orphans, training widows in business skills, to reaching the remotest tribes, providing wells, rebuilding houses, healing the blind, giving dignity to the abused and abandoned, and empowering people to take on new jobs and responsibilities - would be impossible if it were not for a total reliance on Jesus Christ. Iris maintains a commitment to serve communities not from a position of knowing it all, but always going "lower still" in serving and honoring indigenous peoples and calling out the innate greatness in every nation they operate in.

I can't say enough about Iris global I personally attended there leadership school in Central Coast of California.. I will glean from all I learned for the rest of my life. The teaching is biblical and spot on. I absolutely love the leadership of this school they know how to build community and truly be spiritual fathers and mothers... Mark & Cheryl Perry are hands down the best leaders I have ever had the privilege of sitting under forever grateful for Iris Global and Iris Leadership School....

Ever since I discovered Iris during a relief mission to Japan in 2011, I've been impressed by their love and commitment to making the world a better place in big and small ways. Every person they serve finds themselves touched deep in their spirits and hope is awakened, in a way that most humanitarian agencies which serve physical needs cannot. I've visited a number of their bases and found orphans and children who were born severely disadvantaged, now living as sons and daughters with hope and a future.

This organization is one of the most accepting and loving places I've worked with. You immediately feel like family when you arrive. The atmosphere they foster is unlike any I have seen. They truly put Jesus as the forefront of their work and do nothing until they've sought his face and he responds. Iris is an amazing organization. I've never seen any other nonprofit like it. They take love to another level. They also look at people as people rather than a project to be accomplished. Each person is cared for practically, physically, spiritually, and emotionally. Really a wholistic support system. And they are so humble from the top down. The leaders are very honoring and treat the poor the same way they would treat a queen. This is by far my favorite non profit organization. What better gift is there to give but love, and they do this so well!

I have read the book "Birthing The Miraculous" by Heidi Baker of Iris Ministries and discovered the beautiful secret to this outreach: Taking time to feel the love of God, and then letting Him give love through themselves to others. They specifically reached out to the "throwaway" children, orphans who had to beg and sell themselves to eat, and now these adult children are, 20 years later, the most desirable, educated workers in the country. I believe they feed daily more than 1,000 orphans, and school them. in an incredibly short period of time churches over 10,000 in number have been established in village after village. Through stonings, beatings, life threatening diseases like Malaria, false slander, hunger, cold, homelessness, arrests for no crime, injustices, Roland and Heidi Baker have been bringing forth wonderful "diamonds in the rough" out of the dirt, out of villages built at the sites of the garbage dumps. The people there learn the truth of their worth as creations of God and desired by God, which makes them aware of their beauty. They have grown to be young men and women able to work and they do wonderful things. They are sought after as top workers in their country. They have become a stable base of citizens. Colleges and university have been established through Iris Ministries, schools for the young orphaned children, food for all the orphans, AIDS children cared for. Iris has returned love upon love to all who misunderstood the true goodness of heart, the good motives behind this ministry. This ministry is a mega accomplishment in a country in the aftermath of war and recurring natural disasters and the successes really only could have been accomplished by miracle interventions and mercies of God in addition to the lay-down-their-life devotion of those of Iris Ministries.

Iris' work with the poor of Mozambique is literally changing a nation. Orphans are being given a home, family and education and finding that they are no-longer orphans but children with a hope and a future. Widows are looked after, business start-ups are funded and supported, schools built and staffed, medical centres and hospitals are rising out of hopeless situations to serve these precious people. Farms are springing up which feed multitudes. And on and on and on the list goes.
If Christianity was ever meant to be anything it is this, love in action.

My wife and I and our infant son volunteered in the summer of 2005 with Iris in Pemba, Mozambique. Although the conditions were challenging (my son briefly caught malaria), work that the Iris staff was doing was extraordinary. We were able to see the positive transformation of the people and the communities there unfolding before our eyes, with the humble service of the Iris people making this possible. As I have followed and financially supported Iris Ministries in the years since (with my wife volunteering for a few weeks in Pemba several years later), I have been impressed with their great commitment to the well-being of the poor. What began as a primary spiritual/religious endeavor in Mozambique (which I wholeheartedly endorse), has retained those spiritual strengths while becoming a full orbed expression of sustainable, holistic transformation of communities. This including their relief work, provision of wells for clean water, training in skills for micro business, formation of schools accessible to the poor, and more. Now government officials at local and national levels are recognizing the excellent educational and humanitarian work that Iris has been doing.

A week ago, I came back from my 4th visit to the Pemba Mozambique Base of Iris, in 16 months.
Whilst I was there, a severe cyclone hit the area, with devastating consequences, to the local people. But, Heidi and Rolland didn't waste time. They sent us out into the local villages, to invite the villagers to a Party. There was joyful dancing and singing, a short viewing of the Jesus Film, and then the fun began: large platefuls of spaghetti and tuna, with a dollop of mayonnaise, and cold drink was handed out. Such a demonstration of the Father's heart, abundance.
The widows were invited, with their little kiddies, to sleep in the large shed like structure used for church meetings, and were given food, daily.
I saw Iris people pouring out their lives, to help the villagers who had lost everything, I am so humbled by their example. As volunteers, we were invited to join in, so graciously.
My friend and I were also able to visit people of another faith, tell our stories, and us hear theirs, and pray with these lovely people, what a privilege.
I also did medical volunteer work: what I loved was that the motto is 'stop for the one': I was able to engage in a medical capacity, but also, to take time out to take the people I was treating, to the beach, for a cold drink, and swim for the first time, for them, in the sea: this is an indelible memory, the joy, the fun: Iris is about relationship, I SO appreciate this aspect.
I reflect on my 17 days, I have learnt that the poor know how to give, and to serve, in a way that I have not begun to comprehend, but, I want to learn.
As Mama Heidi says, it's 'low and slow'.
I am so so grateful that Heidi and Rolland have allowed us to be involved in their Charity, I am grateful, and so Humbled.

Iris Ministries is a ministry that is touching the hearts of people in and out of their "headquarters" in Mozambique. The heart of the ministry is God's heart, and it is healing. The love shown through these devoted believers is inspiring and provoking. Iris Ministries has challenged me towards love and taught me things about my Daddy, I hope all will know. An outsider's thoughts: Iris ministries is a refreshing perspective of what it means to follow Jesus. This organization has been an inspiration to me on what it means to 'love your neighbor.' Even though they do much of their work in 3rd world nations, their values have impacted me in a first world nation - the USA.

I had followed Heidi Baker and Iris Ministries for many years before actually meeting her or attending one of their events. Their history of selfless efforts and personal sacrifice that can be readily seen and verified influenced my decision to be a donor. Listening to Heidi's teachings and attending a conference where she spoke to specific situations in my life, empowered me with the confidence and insight to make critical decisions concerning business and spiritual growth.

As a donor and a person who has heard the Bakers speak at several conferences I have attended, I am constantly amazed at the work they do and the stories I have heard them tell. They are doing phenomenal work to aid the poor and orphaned children of the world.

Iris Global is not only the best aid organization I know, but the best organization whatsoever. They combine fantastic development assistance with a strong belief in the power of the Holy Spirit. They're not afraid to preach about the love of Jesus while they help the poor and dying.

Being a student of peace and development studies at Uppsala University, I am aware of the complexities of development assistance and I'm glad to see that Iris Global also share this awareness and take their challenges seriously. Being a deeply religious organization they can handle issues that secular organizations are unable of - which is a big deal in the developing world where religion generally plays a massive role in society.

I've visited Iris South Africa and I saw some amazing projects to lift people, especially children, out of poverty. I also witnessed people get healed miraculously and even interviewed a man who had been raised from the dead. Heaven and earth came together and I was amazed by the faith and commitment that the people at Iris had.

I have partnered with this nonprofit for many years. They do life changing work!

Several years ago one of my sons was involved with Iris ministries in Mozambique. I didn't know about Iris, so I thought I would go over and find out firsthand about them and what they were up to.

As I visited with my son, I decided to help volunteer and found the children they were helping were developing a deep passion for Christ. This organization is trusting God for resources to help people that would otherwise be begging for food or living as homeless people in a gutter.

I personally have watched them from a distance over the years and have seen them, through God's help transform lives in the 1000's. They have my stamp of approval and blessing as an individual who has been there, seen what they are doing, and knows firsthand from my experience about how the favor of God is all over the organization.

I went to the Iris base In Mozambique in 2012, the summer after I graduated highs school. I've never been to a place more raw or real. They let the Lord have preeminence in every move the make and in every decision that comes their way. I left Mozambique more In love with Jesus and the people of Africa than I ever imagined I would be. Heidi and Rolland lead Iris with humility and a hunger for the power of God to be seen everywhere they go, for His glory and none other. I love this ministry and these people and will always say yes to an opportunity to stand in the Presence of Jesus and serve and long side them.

I volunteered with this organization at the Pemba, Mozambique base for 3 weeks in July 2012. The staff were extremely hospitable and professional. I felt well cared for and grew a lot from that experience, where I got to do a variety of projects from passing out lunch to street children and making jewelry with widows to reaching out to disenfranchised in hospitals, prisons and rural villages. During bush outreaches, Iris sought to truly communicate with local leaders and respect their customs. The model of short-term volunteers donating what they feel led to is quite unique and gives individuals of different socio-economic levels opportunities to serve. I read Compelled by Love a number of years ago and wept my way through the entire book, as it portrayed a modern day picture of the acts of Jesus in the gospels. Iris Global is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to helping people of all colors. They have rescued thousands of people by providing food, clothing and medicine for their physical bodies, education and training for their minds, as well as healing and hope for their spirits. They truly give people hope for a brighter future and have helped make this world a better place!

Every person that is part of this ministry carries abundant love and passion. They are truly vessels of incredible joy and blessings and impart a legacy of life, encouragement, resources and hope.

I discovered Iris Global about 11 years ago, and have been extremely touched and impressed by the impact they have had in Mozambique and many other African nations. Their passion to "stop for the one" and express love, compassion, and servitude to orphans, the poor, and entirely isolated villages is more than inspiring - it's life-changing. They serve with such joy and gratitude for nothing more than the privilege to serve and show value to the unloved. Heidi and Roland have set a precedent for missions work that I am thrilled to see many others following. I hope to see many more "Roland and Heidi's," and many more "Iris's" happen across the globe!

I was a student under the Harvest School and during my time there, I was shown such a love of the Father's heart and was completely cared for. Their hearts are there to instill your value and your identity in the Lord. They understand how to stop for the one.

I am a young adult currently living in Michigan and I have felt called into ministry as a missionary. For over a year I have read articles that come out about Iris Ministry and watched lengths of videos that capture the amazing stories that happen because of Heidi and her team. They have encouraged my spirit and given me a deeper passion to want to serve Jesus. Seeing and hearing about the successes, and even the hardships, that Iris has been through has strengthened me in my love for missions and my focus to serve God's lost children.

I have had 4 opportunities to be under the teaching of Iris Global. I would encourage anyone looking for an authentic, radically sold out life of what Christianity looks like....follow the Baker's. I have been so blessed to receive a hope that this original breath of God is possible for me here in the U.S. The love of our God is attainable as you are ushered into His presence by the very humility of Heidi and Roland. It will change the way you live your own life once you are filled with the glory of God that is evident in their being. As a testimony is to us, God do it again. I am encouraged that God will do it again to those who hunger for more and will be sold out for the gospel. I love that their life lived gives me a hunger to go after more. America will be changed by my encounter with God that I had with their ministry.

Honest, Real, Humble, Powerful. A ministry in it truest form, Strong through Gods power shown in the most gentle and caring touch of love which empowers heals and changes hearts and lives forever. I have never seen anything like it. Gods grace and miracles being shown consistently without fail. We always want to see or have some proof of God well it doesn't get any clearer then that.

I got turned on to Iris Ministries several years ago when I got invited to hear Heidi Baker speak. As I listened, I was in awe of the love Heidi exudes from her life and the selfless love she pours out to others. It doesn't matter what they look like or smell like, she loves all the same. It had been a real challenge for me because I have been serving the Lord for over 30 years and my life looked nothing like what Jesus said it was supposed to. I was stuck in the church for so long I had no idea what the bride was supposed to be doing or saying to the lost. My eyes have been being opened the last several years as I follow Heidi on Youtube, (thank God for Youtube). My life has been stretched, challenged and I'm now doing what the church has been called to do. I am soooo grateful for this ministry. It has caused me to set my sights higher than I could ever imagine. And soon I too will be raising the dead too...as well as healing, delivering, and ministering to all I come in contact with. I am now involved in homeless ministry and I love what Papa God is doing in me.

I share what this ministry is doing in the world to others about the example Jesus Himself gave us" to do what I do" and this ministry is a prime example of doing just that.

This ministry has taking my relationship with Jesus from the living room to the bedroom...
I'm more hungry for Him than ever before..

We first met Heidi in Nashville, Tn. Her sermon was very encouraging and uplifting. She had us standing up and asking God for more. Then she took time to pray for all those standing in line wanting prayer. When I asked her to pray for my teeth, she popped open her mouth to show me what God had done for her teeth. This was to help my faith. She didn't just preach LOVE. She made me feel loved and cared for. Her stories of boldly going into the Bush and the Congo inspire me to not only be desperate for Jesus myself, but to be less shy about reaching out to help others. I

This is a world changing ministry! It reaches the lost in love & compassion. The motive of this ministry is the love of Jesus. Countless lifes have been changed by the outreach of Iris ministries. Not only does this organisation help in practical & spiritual care on the African continet, it is impacting the Christian church in the West, bringing back the love & compassion of Jesus. The founder imparted to me and encouraged by her example and charisma and helped me to come alive again, her hardworking and zeal are inspiring. And most important of all that it's for Jesus Christ.

I spent about a month as a volunteer with organization and being with these people changed my life. I saw true sacrificial love poured out daily and witnessed countless lives affected daily. Amazing people, Amazing sacrifice, amazing joy. Also I have never seen an organization's higher ups live more simple and poor that the leadership of Iris ministries.
Also I personally know on a weirder and funny note One of my African friends caught killed and ate the Baker's (the family who started the ministry) cat and they totally forgave him and are Palls to this day.

Through the work of Heidi and Roland Baker, and Iris Global I have learned what love is, what it looks like. My life has forever been radically changed because of witnessing this first hand. I recently had to "fill in the blank" of who my favorite paster was. I hand to write Heidi and Roland. Because of them I am a better person. I have been involved with many global ministries in many ways and by far consider this ministry the best soil I have ever sowed into.
The way my financial gifts are being spent is so frugal and spent beyond what I could ever do. I am so Glad to have found an honest ministry that uses money beyond what anyone would expect. I.E. every penny is spent with the utmost care on their orphans.
financially it is the best soil on earth in my opinion. Now to mention the way the children and orphans and volunteers are so Loved.. It has been a life long dream of mine to become a volunteer in Iris ministries. Although I know it is extremely hard work, the Love of God that is experienced every moment even in the most difficult of times in Iris ministries cannot be found anywhere else on earth in my opinion. I have personally met with Heidi and Rolland Baker and Suprisa and they always have the time to treat a little person like me as if I were the only person in the room .

I have been an on looker for the past 4 years and inspired by this ministry, to stop for the one in my region. The area I am in is north Louisiana. With churches on every corner it pains me to say very few of see the miricale of the one in front of us. I was personally touched by someone who had gone to iris school of ministry in Africa in 2010. I want to thank you for imparting this message to me now. Because you guys have made the love of Jesus real, I am free. I continue to on look but now thru a different set of eyes.

I have listened to both Heidi and Roland Baker in conferences, sharing their hearts about the orphans in Mozambique. I have also read their book, Always Enough. My heart has been so moved by their extreme passion, dedication and abandonment of all Western comfort to go out and find the one. They carry that true spirit of adoption, taking in children from the city dump as their own. They are also transforming the country around them, as they teach the children to minister the gospel, pray for miracles, and see them happen. I could not be more excited and challenged by any ministry. One day I hope to visit their ministry base in Pemba. I would love for my entire family to visit and to see this ministry of love in action. I would recommend it to anyone. I do not personally know of an organization that has impacted more lives in a tangible & life-giving way than Iris Global.
The genuine compassion and never ending drive to help the poorest of the poor is an inspiration to all who know of them. They lovingly serve the ones that many organizations pass over because they seem beyond help and the cost would be to great. The leaders of Iris risk their lives on a regular basis in order to help others.
Words can't paint the true picture of the expression on the faces when the name Heidi & Rolland Baker comes up in conversation, but its a look of great honor and love, with deep respect and awe for the lives the example and the nations they effect. They are selfless and give fro a pure heart and laid down life.

Hello! I attended the Harvest Mission school (HS13) run by Iris Ministries in Pemba, Mozambique October - December 2010. Iris Ministries and the staff running the school were great examples of how to love and care for the poor. I was impressed by the time and care taken to feed, clothe and teach people who otherwise would not have these things. But I was most touched by the deep love that Iris Ministries had for each person they came into contact with. I was also impressed by their acceptance of volunteers from all different countries and the learning journey that we were all on in a new and challenging environment.
The seeds that were planted in my life personally, and the lives of others in Mozambique, both the Mozambicans and the volunteers, are of eternal value. I am still reaping from what was sown, as I am sure all who have had the privilege of being in Pemba are.
Jesus and His love for the world is the centre of all this organisation does. I would recommend to anyone to donate their time, finances and hearts to Jesus through this organisation.....and go Pemba to experience this first hand.

Not knowing anything about God I was amazed to see how someone who knew Him so intimately loved and served people just because she loves God. I was never impacted by a leader of a nonprofit organisation as by Heidi Baker aka "Mother Teresa of Mozambique". They literally lay their life down for their cause.

I heard Heidi Baker speak at a tent revival in Moravian Falls, NC. Her passion for the lost and poverty-stricken brought me to tears. Her stories of miraculous provision in the execution of her faith-filled mission changed my life. Her matter-of-fact approach to relationship with Christ was challenging in it's sincerity and reality. She is truly one of the great evangelists of our generation: above reproach and fruitful for the Kingdom.

Heidi sends out a very thorough newsletter to all interested supporters and to those who would like to know more about their ministry. I served at Iris Global at their base in Pemba, Mozambique for 2 1/2 months. My experience there was something I will never forget. I got to see first hand all the work that goes into this organization by people who are pouring out their lives for the sake of love. Every day I got to eat with the local village people in the kitchen where Iris provided free meals for the poor. I saw many poor people get fed. I saw many orphans who now have a home. I saw hurting and desperate people being cared for in the free health clinic. Iris Global is definitely making a difference in the lives of many people, not only in Mozambique, but throughout the world. It was an honor and a privilege to serve with such an amazing organization and I look forward to serving with them again in the future!

I experienced first hand the amazing miracles of God's love while at one of Heidi Baker's orphanages in Mozambique in 2010. I will never forget the smiles on the children's faces as daily meals, schooling, toys and playground equipment was provided. Heidi Baker, the head of Iris Ministries, is one of the most powerful, dynamic, ministers of the gospel in the world today. I have been praying for her and her ministry since I first heard her share the gospel in Abbotsford BC Canada years ago. I have personally heard Heidi Baker speak, and have a personal friend who has been on a mission trip to Iris Global. She witnessed many healings, and saw food multiplied in the kitchen on multiple occasions. Rolad & Heidi are sincere, warm-hearted individuals with an incredible testimony of Grace. But the most amazing thing about their ministry is the love. They get down in the dirt and LOVE people. Just - Love them. Among the most amazing people I've ever met.

From the time I was a little girl, missionaries were my favorite speakers at our church. I loved their stories of whacking their way through the jungle to bring the gospel to a faraway tribe. In this time in history Heidi Baker has become my hero (though she would hate being called that!). It thrills me to hear her share the stories of children she's rescued, the power of their prayers and the miracles that God performs through her and the people she works with, they never get old! I've heard or read some of them several times and they just make me want to jump in there and be all that God wants me to be too.
