Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Religion, Roman Catholic
Mission: ITEST's Mission is to further advance the Kingdom of God by demonstrating that faith and science are complementary paths to the one Truth.
Results: ITEST, founded by Fr. Robert Brungs, SJ, soon after Vatican II and based on the words in Gaudium et Spes, saw the need for the Church to keep abreast of the rapid advances in science. Over fifty years later, that's still a cornerstone of our mission within the Church. ITEST has held many conferences and webinars over the years on a wide range of faith/science topics, and we have published a quarterly bulletin of articles over five decades. In recent years we've examined topics such as Early Life Issues, End of Life Issues, Cosmology, Genetically Modified Food, Pornography Addiction, Social Media, the Shroud of Turin, Evolution, and many more. We offer webinars and radio programs in partnership with WCAT Radio. Wherever matters of faith intersect with science, ITEST strives to be there.
Programs: An active and formative engagement of the Apologetics Concentration of the Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies program at Holy Apostles College & Seminary.
