Mission: BURNS RECOVERED SUPPORT GROUP'S MISSION IS TO ASSIST BURN SURVIVORS IN THEIR RECOVERY, SUPPORT MEDICAL FACILITIES IN THE CARE OF BURNS IN MISSOURI AND EDUCATE THE PUBLIC IN BURN AWARENESS AND PREVENTION.
Programs: Missouri children's burn camp - summer camp operated for children and teenagers who have experienced injuries from burns. In 2014, 73 campers attended. Emphasis is placed on the person inside. Camp has a positve effect on the camper's attitude and self image.
burn survivor assistance program - this program connects burn surviors with others to provide support and understanding, share coping strategies, and ease the transition after injury. Monthly self-help support meetings are held. In 2014, 250 people attended the support meetings.
prevention and education - juvenile fire setters program and other burn education and prevention awareness for the public. In 2014, 30 children, along with their families, completed the program.
